Before the Pandemic I used to say:  “I am interested in the phenomenology of events” which kept me at a pretty safe

distance from feeling (suffering) about what goes on in this

world of ours. But now...

                     

...I am beyond words.

A favorite quote of mine is from Nietsche as memorialized

by Mahler:  "Deeper still than grief is joy."

                       

Since we find ourselves these days in an absurdly bifurcated

world of equal parts humanity and inhumanity, and at the

same time, life as we know it has come to an end with much

grief and suffering and great losses, we must celebrate this

winter season with a little of everything.
